Yesterday afternoon, 2k Sports revealed a brand new NBA 2K14 developer diary video focused on the various gameplay enhancements made to this year’s entry.
The video above showcases the new blocking system and how it will ultimately change the game forever. The creative team also makes mention of the AI being drastically improved in both offensive and defensive scenarios. Prior to this trailer being released, 2K had stated that signature skills would also be making a comeback after it’s positive reception in NBA 2K13. While nothing else was highlighted in the video, we can expect to hear more news on other added features within the next 2 weeks.
One very interesting fact about 2K’s decision to release this video is that they did so only a few hours after EA Sports revealed their first official gameplay footage from NBA LIVE 14. Could we already be witnessing what will be a showdown between both companies this fall? If so, NBA 2K14 will obviously hold the advantage due mainly in part to the fact that the franchise has dominated the market over the last several years.
