TitanFall Drops On March 11th, 2014

Today Respawn Entertainment and EA announced that their highly anticipated TitanFall video game will be hitting stores on March 11th in North America and on March 13th in Europe. The Xbox One exclusive will also be launching on both the Xbox 360 and PC platforms. Respawn released a brand new gameplay trailer for the game which can be seen in all it’s glory above.

The video highlights over 4 minutes of exciting gameplay footage with variations on the vertical combat mechanics that make up the overall multiplayer package. By comparison, this video doesn’t really seem all that different from the one that debuted during Microsoft’s Media Briefing at E3 2013. Despite this notion, the game still looks impressive and should be a blast for anyone who is a fan of First-person shooters.

In addition to today’s release date announcement, Respawn also revealed details on the TitanFall Collector’s Edition. A picture of the package along with further details can be seen below:

TitanFall Collector’s Edition will retail for $249.99 and Includes:

  • Exclusive collectible 18” Titan statue, handcrafted from over 300 individual parts and featuring battery-powered LED lighting
  • Full-size, hardcover art book featuring over 190 pages of rare concept art
  • Exclusive full-size schematic poster of the Atlas Titan
  • Titanfall Game – Introducing the experience that combines fast-paced multiplayer action with dramatic, cinematic moments lets you enjoy the fiction of the universe without having to leave your favorite game mode

TitanFall

I would argue that $249.99 is way too expensive for a multiplayer only video game, but I’m more than certain that many people will buy this. TitanFall was among one of the most talked about games at E3 and thus I believe that momentum will continue to carry them through well into March.
