WWE 2K18 Gameplay Footage Shows How Far the Series Has Come

With one month and six days to go, WWE 2K18 had it somewhere in their heart to FINALLY release the footage. Feast your eyes on the first gameplay footage and some screenshot showcasing how far the game has come since 2K17.

As seen in the video above, not only are days of cardboard crowds over but 2K18 has made some massive improvements to the games lighting model and shaders to improve the rendering quality of the game.

“Working on WWE 2K18, our goal is to not only create the best wrestling game ever but to create the best looking wrestling game ever,” explained WWE 2K creative director Lynell Jinks.

The latest developer video also includes a series of side-by-side comparisons including Brock Lesner, Seth Rollins, and the Legend Killer Randy Orton.

It also showcases a side-by-side comparison of Randy Orton’s entrance from WWE 2K17 compared with WWE 2K18 – and it’s easy to see the strides the team has made in just a year with the new game engine.

WWE 2K18 will release October 17th for Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
