Summer is over, good riddance. It was a pretty lackluster Summer, but games and consoles were still being purchased. Time to look at the best selling video games and Consoles of August 2010.
Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 S’ model has proven to be quite a success so far selling 356K to win the month of August. The Wii seems to have lost some steam throughout the Summer, selling 244K in August. On the software side, Madden NFL 11 takes the top 2 spots selling 920K on Xbox 360 and 893K on PS3. Mafia 2 pulled some decent numbers over its 7-day release in August, selling 121K on Xbox360, despite the PS3 version offering extra content.
Again, Summer is over. Now it’s time for the big three to come correct for the Fall.
