CD Projekt Announces The Witcher 2

CD Projekt has announced the sequel to it’s highly successful PC RPG “The Witcher”. The Witcher was a multi award winning hit for the PC, and it was even meant to make it’s way to consoles before getting canceled. One of the main gripes with the game was the simple combat system, which CD Projekt has said will be much more complex the second time around. The firm’s CEO Adam Kicinski said in a press release that the combat will feature a “greater variety of tactical possibilities”.

“I am really glad that we can officially present what we’ve been working on for the past two-and-a-half years,” said Kici?ski. “We learned a lot during The Witcher’s development process, and we are using all of that knowledge to ensure the sequel is one of the best RPGs people have ever played.

“We’ve concentrated on improving the most successful parts of the Witcher, and I strongly believe that The Witcher 2 will be loved both by fans of the original and newcomers.

“We know that we aimed very high while producing The Witcher 1. Now we are aiming even higher with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.”

Atari will be publishing the game, and the official website is estimated to launch in early April. In the meantime I urge anyone with decent PC specs to check the game out, as it was recommended to me over a dozen times.
