As the music game enthusiast in the team, one of the games I look forward to, along with Rock Band 3, is Def Jam Rapstar. I have to admit I like Rapstar in concept, to finally be able to rap out some hip-hop songs on a video game feels like it should of been done long ago. The Rapstar setlist on the other hand is kind of wack. New songs have been confirmed for Def Jam Rapstar and it adds the likes of Public Enemy, Nas, Diddy, and more. I’m somewhat of a Nas fan but “Hate Me Now” really? I much rather have ‘The World is Yours’ or ‘One Love’.
Here’s the list of the newly confirmed songs:
-It’s All About The Benjamins (Remix) by Diddy (Featuring The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim & The Lox
-We Takin’ Over by DJ Khaled (Featuring Akon, T.I., Rock Ross, Fat Joe, Baby & Lil’ Wayne
You’re All I Need/I’ll Be There For You by Method Man (Featuring Mary J. Blige)
-Hate Me Now by Nas (Featuring Diddy)
-Hot In Herre by Nelly
-Fight The Power by Public Enemy
-It’s Goin’ Down by Yung Joc (Featuring Nitti)
Def Jam Rapstar will be released on october 5th, on all current consoles. Expect to hear more on the game in the upcoming month, Russell Simmons promised to “market the shit out of it”.
