As reported earlier, tonight Sony held a “Playstation Meeting” in Japan. The event was chockfull of information, the most prevalent of which was the official announcement of the new PSP. Referred to by Sony as “NGP” (Next Generation Portable), the successor to the PSP sounds it will be the most featured packed gaming device to date. Playstation CEO Kaz Harai said thire goal for NGP is “to transform every aspect of people’s life” and I think it just might! Sony have also said the system will be “as powerful as the PS3” allowing for quick and easy ports, 3DS eat your heart out!
