Step Into The Octogan With UFC Undisputed 3

THQ and Zuffa (UFC owners) have announced the third installment of their MMA sports title, UFC Undisputed 3. As you can probably tell, the game doesn’t have the usual year date attached to it as THQ dropped the “one game every year” formula. This is mainly due to the 2010 version of the game not being as successful as the debut in 2009. Even though I enjoyed UFC Undisputed 2010, I am also glad that the developer is given more time to make adjustments and improvements to the last iteration.

Since May 2010, when UFC Undiputed 2010 was released, UFC as a company have bought other promotion companies such as Pride and Strikeforce. They have also added two new weight classes (featherweight and bantamweight divisions). These improvements in the company will be reflected onto UFC Undisputed 3. The game will feature an impressive playable roster of more than 150 UFC fighters. The game will also include a new mode called Pride Mode, allowing you to fight in the Pride organization. This means commentary from Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros, Pride arenas, and Prides notorious moves like kicks to the head, which are banned in the UFC. As for improvements, the game will improve the responsiveness of the striking controls, the visual representation, and will feature traditional and simplified control options.

UFC Undisputed 3 is looking to be the best in the series. UFC Undisputed is due out in January 2012 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
