Just in case the new batman game from Rocksteady, Batman: Arkham City, wasn’t enough for you bat lovers, Warner Bros. has another game for you. Today, Warner Bros. has announced a new downloadable FPS entitled Gotham City Impostors. The game is being developed by Monolith Productions, and the game is said to play as a territorial type of game where teams of Batman or Joker imposters battle over Gotham’s control.
“Gotham City Impostors blows apart expectations for superhero games with an exaggerated take on first person shooters, set in a part of the DC Universe players have never seen before,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Monolith is creating a game that turns Gotham City upside down and we think fans are going to have a blast with this creative twist on multiplayer heroism and anti-heroism as they play up the classic rivalry between Batman and The Joker.”
Gotham City Imposters is said to have unprecedented customization options allowing players to create their Bats and Jokerz characters, homebrewed, gadgets, and more. I think Arkham City might be all the batman I need, but I am curious as to how Batman universe looks in the FPS perspective.
Gotham City Impost0rs will be available on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and PC. No date announced.
