It has been some time since we have heard some new solo heat from Detroit emcee Black Milk. Breaking his silence today, he drops a new lead single titled “Sunday’s Best, Monday’s Worst“. It has been almost 3 years since Black Milk‘s last solo effort “Album of the Year“ and with his latest track, he takes listeners to church. J Dilla‘s disciple combines two songs as one continuous piece of dope music. The first part “Sunday’s Best” is a gospel-laced with an underground appeal and the second part “Monday’s Best” brings the day-after, soulful tune that tells a sombre story.
It is a great listen for most hip-hop heads and really shows Black Milk‘s lyrical prowess on the mic. Both tracks will be featured on Black Milk‘s upcoming untitled new solo album dropping later this summer.
