Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is showing off a new area called ‘Dead Dunes‘ with the release of some new screenshots.
The screenshots explain that Lightning is in search of a lost treasure and visits a village to gather information and explore the wilderness around it. Check them out in the gallery below.
Additionally the shots show that Lightning can slide down the sand dunes, she can cast healing spells on herself and can now slow down time itself using her new ability ‘LightSpeed’.
Personally I am looking forward to Lightning Returns, although I agree that a third game in the FF13 series is a bit of an overkill I have still enjoyed completing both previous games. I may as well finish off the trilogy now.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 is coming to PS3 and 360 this fall.
