GamesTM Magazine had a very recent interview with the creator of Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, about the future of the fan favorite series. The topic of discussion in the interview was how the Gran Turismo series was difficult to release due to hardware issues on previous consoles. Now that the PS4 has arrived, Yamauchi-san feels there will be no problems rendering the high quality of data they’ve wanted to produce for the game and the fans. Also, Gran Turismo 7 will be coming to the PS4 in the next couple of years!
Yamauchi-san stated in the interview:
“Everything will be running naturally,” Yamauchi assured us. “PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4 I think is going to make an incredible difference.”
“For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn’t do in GT6,” Yamauchi revealed. “We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it’s going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016.”
