Hideo Kojima Teases a New Metal Gear Solid Collection

Earlier tonight, Hideo Kojima released a teaser image through Twitter hinting at an upcoming announcement of a brand new Metal Gear Solid collection. The tweet is conveniently embedded below in all its cryptic glory:

While nothing is confirmed yet, the collection will more than likely be geared towards current gen hardware owners and include remastered versions of several key games in the series. It is currently unclear if Ground Zeroes will be in this collection, but my best guess is that it will to get fans caught up on all that has happened so far.

Kojima made headlines just a little over a week ago when he revealed that a special announcement for The Phantom Pain would be made during Tokyo Games Show later this month. This had led many to believe that we may finally be getting a confirmed release date for the highly anticipated next installment in the iconic series. If indeed he does announce this along with the collection teased above, then Metal Gear Solid fans everywhere will be on cloud nine.

Would any of you be interested in buying Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots again on the PS4 or Xbox One? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on this and what you think Kojima will announce at TGS in the comments section below.
