Now that E3 2014 is officially in the books, the summer gaming drought is in full effect. July is a slim month highlighted by a few rereleased games that many of us should have already played by now. However, if you passed on games like The Last of Us and/or Guacamelee, then now is the best time to see what these titles have to offer.

Child of Light launched on several other platforms back in April, and will finally be available to Vita owners starting tomorrow. Features Editor Carl Daniel had a chance to review Guacamelee! last year when it launched simultaneously on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. This version of the game features a few bonuses, and a new villain to square off against. If you missed out on playing the first game, then you might want to check it out now.

The fifth and final chapter in Telltale Games iconic first season of The Wolf Among Us is expected to launch sometime in July. Shortly after that, the full season will be debuting on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you still haven’t had a chance to see what all the buzz is about, then now is the right time to play catch-up.

Fans of the One Piece manga and anime series will have a brand new game to look forward to. Released in Japan late last year, One Piece: Unlimited World RED has even more action and adventure than previous entries in the series. Full Title: Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of The Year Edition

Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of The Year Edition is pretty much the full game with some additional DLC packs included in the overall package. If you initially passed on Forza Motorsport 5 and want to get your hands on a much more complete package, then you might want to pickup this game when it drops on July 22nd.

Oddworld: New “N” Tasty is a remake of the 1997 classic title Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. This game will feature a brand new 2.5D graphical style to coincide with the clever platforming mechanics that everyone knows and loves. The game is also expected to launch on several other platforms at a later date. If you are a longtime fan of the original, then you owe it to yourself to check out this game as well.

Unrest is an independently developed RPG/adventure game that allows players to explore an ancient Indian city and use conversation, violence, and choices to reach their goals. The game had a successful Kickstarter campaign and is expected to offer a unique gameplay experience to entice fans. If you love indie games built on choice and exploration, then you may want to give Unrest a try.

The Last of Us was easily the best PlayStation 3 game released last year. With The Last of Us: Remastered, Naughty Dog aims to bring the same game with all the DLC add-ons and improved resolution to PlayStation 4 owners. If for any reason you never got a chance to play the original game and you currently own a PS4, then you absolutely should pick this up as soon as humanly possible.
