Earlier today, Ubisoft confirmed that The Division has been delayed until 2015. The news was made official in a blog post over on the game’s dedicated website. Prior to this announcement, the MMO stylized third-person shooter horror was expected to launch on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year.
The reason for this delay stems from the development team wanting to take the extra time to make the game as detailed and compelling as it can be. They also pointed out that the game will make an appearance during E3 2014 next month.
News of this delay is hardly surprising because Ubisoft already has two high profiles titles in Assassins Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4 already scheduled to come out this fall. Pushing back The Division until 2015 is smart because it gives gamers everywhere even more quality games to look forward to next year.
