Bloodborne is a challenging game. It’s been kicking my ass for a good two weeks now. Though I hit a point where the game got easier, the game’s difficulty suddenly shot up exponentially. I thought it was due to the Forgotten Woods being so mercilessly brutal (damn you Rom!), but perhaps it was something else.
As you can see from the video below, having the game’s Hand Lantern turned on affects your stamina regeneration… dramatically.
This would explain why I run out of stamina so much faster now despite having leveled up that stat. Every second counts in this game so having this lantern turned on would actually make the game much more challenging than it should be.
This other video shows more of how items can affect stamina regeneration.
So there you have it. If you don’t want your stamina affected then it’s time to ditch that lantern ASAP. It’s interesting how the game doesn’t tell you this, but then again, this is a game that shares DNA with a series known for being cryptic.
Will this now make my sessions with the game a bit easier? Maybe. That’s another story for another day.
