During the Xbox Media Briefing at Gamescom, Koji Igarashi took the stage to announce something that will make fans of his upcoming game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night very happy. The game will feature cross-play between the Xbox One and Windows PC versions.
In addition to this news, Igarashi also unveiled a new demon hunter character which will be in the game.
For those of you who may not know, Bloodstained is in many ways the spiritual successor to the classic versions of Castlevania. It garnered a lot of attention from fans who helped fund the game in record time, making it so it eventually made $5.5 million dollars. This was the biggest Kickstarter in history until Shenmue III took that distinguished title.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set to be released on consoles, mobile, and PC platforms sometime in 2017.
