/// Troy Baker: “Reserve Judgement” on Kiefer Sutherland as Snake Until You Play MGS V: The Phantom Pain!
At the Indy PopCon 2015 last week, Troy Baker explained why you should “reserve judgement” on 24‘s Kiefer Sutherland’s performance in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain until you’ve actually played the game.
Baker said that Sutherland, who will be playing Snake, “knocked it out of the freaking park,” saying that he came in, “rolled up his sleeves and got dirty on this game.”
To his credit, Kiefer Sutherland knocked it out of the freaking park, and he came in and he put the work in. I love David Hayter, I love David, he’s a good dude and he’s Snake, but so is Kiefer. And that guy showed up, rolled up his sleeves and got dirty on this game. So reserve judgement until you play it. You only have like two more months left and trust me it’ll be worth it.

/// Star Wars Battlefront Dev “did not want this to be a Battlefield game”!
Speaking to The Guardian, DICE general manager Patrick Bach said this was quite intentional.
“We have a strong legacy with Battlefield, but we did not want this to be a Battlefield game – we wanted it to have a heart and soul of its own,” he said.
“We came at it from a very different angle. We know that the core audience of a game like this is different to the Battlefield audience. There’s a crossover, but Star Wars fans expect a Star Wars game, not a Battlefield game. We looked at what Star Wars stands for, rather than asking how can we tweak Battlefield to be something else.”
Bach said DICE has been criticised both for being too much and not enough like Battlefield.
“We’ve had to accept the fact that people will be upset with us until they get to play it,” he added.
“When people saw it, they got it, they agreed that this is a game on its own, it is not Battlefield, and they liked it.” [Source]
/// Star Wars Battlefront Dev “did not want this to be a Battlefield game”!
PlayStation 4 is currently enjoying nothing less than 70% market-share in any European nation, SCEE president Jim Ryan has told VG247.
“We have a very significant market leadership,” said Ryan, speaking in Los Angeles earlier this month.
“Well, we have market leadership in every country in Europe, and have very significant market leadership in continental Europe. Extremely significant. I don’t think market-share’s any less than 70%, and frequently greater than 90% in continental Europe.” [Source]
