Locations Set For Nintendo World Championships Qualifiers Announced

The return of the The Nintendo World Championships has been announced and now comes news of how fans cane earn themselves a spot in  the finals.

Starting on May 30th, eight locations will earn a trip to Los Angeles to compete alongside fifteen other players.

Qualifiers will take place at the following Best Buy locations from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. local time on May 30th. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the field of entrants is capped at 750 players per store on a first-come, first-served basis.

The competition will involve the championship mode from Ultimate NES Remix, with score challenges obtained from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, and Dr. Mario.

For those who would like to practice the Ultimate NES Remix is available for $29.99 in the Nintendo eShop.

In addition to the top scorer from each location, Nintendo will be selecting eight additional competitors for the finals.

The Nintendo World Championships will be held on June 14th at the Nokia Theatre.
