NHL Legacy Edition Will Feature Updated Rosters and Authentic Schedules

EA Sports’ NHL Legacy Edition is coming in September and players unfortunately won’t be getting new game features from EA Sports this year. Instead, updated rosters and authentic schedules are coming to an “old-gen” console near you.

The Legacy Edition will feature True Performance Skating where players can use the One-Touch Dekes to feel the hard-hitting chaos of NHL hockey through true-to-life multiplayer collisions, net scrambles, and player pileups with Multiplayer NHL Collision Physics.

Players will be able to join the ranks as an NHL player as a ‘Be a Pro’ character.. Every decision made will affect relationship with fans, teammates and management, influencing skills and progression.

Once the single-player Pro experiences is mastered, players can jump into Online Team Play or EA Sports Hockey League and team-up with some friends to face online competition.

Lastly, players can relive the glory days with NHL 94 Anniversary Mode featuring bigger goals, hits, retro presentation, and classic button controls.

There’s also the ability to create an NHL dynasty in ‘Be a GM’. Here, players build their team through rookie drafts, trades and signings.

GM Connected enhances the manager experience by allowing gamers to manage, play, or coach with and against friends online in their own 30 team human controlled league.

Finally, the Hockey Ultimate Team Mode allows players to build and play with a team composed of all  favorite players to create an ultimate dream team. Players can choose from eight different hockey leagues including the NHL, AHL, CHL, Liiga, SHL, DEL, Extraliga ledniho hokeje, and National League. Featuring updated rosters and authentic NHL schedules.

NHL Legacy Edition will release in September for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
