On Jan. 23rd through the 25th, PAX South will be starting in San Antonio, Texas. Nintendo will be attending the show and will give fans a chance to have a first time, hands-on, gameplay experience with the new Nintendo 3DS XL system before it launches on Feb. 13th, 2015.
The game demos available at the show will be The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Both games will have enhanced settings and features new for the Nintendo 3DS XL such as, the new C-Stick, ZL and ZR buttons, magnificent super-stable 3D face-tracking technology and a built-in NFC functionality which allows a unique communication with the amiibo figurines.
The 3DS XL system also has a faster start up, increase CPU power to improve download speeds, and a smoother transition between software and Miiverse accounts. To celebrate the PAX South event and promotion for the 3DS XL, Nintendo is holding a “72 hour Mask Challenge” for fans to create their own masks.
Nintendo will be at booth #1234 on the PAX South show floor with the actual replica of Majora’s Mask present for photos. On another note, if anyone dresses up in costume to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, they will receive front line privileges to the Nintendo 3DS XL experience. In addition to the games being demoed, Super Smash Bros. will also be present at the event!
