Sony has just announced that it would stop supporting three apps on the PlayStation Vita handheld. These apps are Near, Maps, and YouTube.
They announce this on Twitter earlier today.

The YouTube app is no longer available on the Vita store on the PlayStation Network. Though the handheld will not support the app come April 20, those who still have it in their systems can still use it.
Maps will be gone from the system after a firmware update in March. This means that Near will no longer work since it needs Maps to function. It should be noted that YouTube and a map service can still be accessed through the Vita’s web browser.
Sony didn’t say why they were cutting support for these apps. For more information, check out these FAQs for YouTube and Maps/Near.
