The Star Wars Celebration is in full swing and gamers have been clamoring for any details surrounding the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront by DICE, known for their Battlefield franchise. DICE obviously has an incredible pedigree when it comes to team based combat, so them picking up the troubled Battlefront franchise was a sigh of relief.
Details have been scarce for the most pat, but DICE’s Patrick Bach shared a few specifics with Eurogamer:
- No solo “campaign”
- Players can switch seamlessly between 1st and 3rd person
- Player count maxes out at 40
- Two player split screen
- Will include DLC, Battle of Jakku, bridging the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
Update:
Battle of Jakku will be available to all players on December 8th, but available two weeks earlier with pre-order.
