Earlier this week, 343 Industries Studio Head Dan Ayoub confirmed in a tweet that the ongoing Xbox One multiplayer beta for Halo Wars 2 is scheduled to end on June 22nd. This open beta was originally scheduled to end on June 20th but has now been extended by 48 hours due to popular demand.
News regarding the beta announcement leaked prior to E3 thanks largely in part to an Xbox Store error. Since then, many have had a chance to jump into the beta and all of the positive feedback has led to this brief extension by 343 Industries.
Halo Wars 2 had a major presence at E3 2016 and is ideal for both real-time strategy and Halo series fans alike. Stay tuned for more of my in-depth thoughts on both the beta and the behind closed doors meeting I attended during E3 in the days ahead.
Halo Wars 2 launches worldwide on February 21st, 2017 for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Are any of you planning to try out the beta? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
