/// GameStop: Switch is One of the Most Successful Console Launches in Years!
The launch of the Nintendo Switch has been the most successful console launch at retailer GameStop in the last several years.
“Stores across the country last night were packed with customers who couldn’t wait to get their hands on the brand new Nintendo Switch,” said GameStop Senior Director of Merchandising Eric Bright told Game Rant. “We even had customers lining up as early as yesterday morning so that they could be one of the lucky ones to score one of the additional units for our walk-in customers.
“This is one of the strongest and most successful gaming console launches for GameStop in the last several years. For those fans who are still looking for the Nintendo Switch, don’t worry–we’re getting more. And, we’re pretty sure that there are a lot of gaming fans who pulled all-nighters last night playing their new Switch, and who also called in sick to work today with ‘game-fluenza’ just to stay home and play even more.”
The Nintendo Switch sold 80,000 units in its first 48 hours in the UK.

/// SD cards cannot be shared between Nintendo Switch consoles!
“The microSD card is being used by another Nintendo Switch console or was used on this console before it was initialised. Delete the Nintendo Switch data on the microSD card to use it on this console.
“Save data, screenshots, and other data not related to Nintendo Switch won’t be deleted. You can remove the microSD card if you don’t want to use it on this console.”
It’s interesting Nintendo mentioned “save data” here as being among the items that won’t be lost. Right now, save files cannot be transferred to an an SD card, whereas screenshots and game files can. [Source]
