The Most Anticipated Video Games of December 2017

December marks both the beginning of the Christmas holiday season and the end of a memorable year for video game releases. While some of us are still trying to catch up on all the impressive games that released in 2017, there are some out there who have completed everything and are looking for more games to play. Luckily, Seven: The Long Days Gone, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Hello Neighbor and more are here to keep them busy. The following is a quick list of a few December titles that would make great Christmas gifts for that special gamer in your life.

Seven: The Days Long Gone is a 3D isometric RPG that allows players to explore the sandbox world of the Vetrall Empire in a beyond post-apocalyptic setting. This unique open-world title was created by a talented team that worked on both The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Fans of the Xenoblade metaseries, action RPGs, and new Nintendo Switch owners should definitely consider giving this title a chance.

If you’re a fan of RTS and RPG stylized titles that take place within a fantasy setting, then this is one game that you should definitely plan on picking up late next week.

This title revolves around players gathering items to successfully sneak into their neighbor’s house and uncover secrets. The AI adapts accordingly based on previous actions and offers a new experience each and every time. If you’re looking for a unique title, Hello Neighbor may be right up your alley.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a multiplayer online battle royale game developed by the PUBG Corporation. Having already achieved success as a Steam Early Access title, PUBG is finally making it’s way to Xbox Game Preview later this month and can be purchased for only $29.99. If you recently picked up an Xbox One X or you have an Xbox One S, then this is one game that you may want to consider trying out.

Yooka-Laylee is a third-person perspective platformer and the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. This successful Kickstarter funded game launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Linux and Mac earlier this year and was reviewed by our Senior Editor Jakejames Lugo. With the Nintendo Switch release planned for later this month, players will now be able to play the game anytime no matter where they are. If you’ve been holding out on picking up Yooka-Laylee and you’re always on the move, then this is the version that you should definitely consider picking up.
