Jack Ryan is coming to a screen near you (again), but this time its the small screen in Amazon’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Despite the books series and the two movies starring Tom Cruise, this version features a younger more bolder Jack Ryan and for the first time ever, Amazon Prime will introduce us all to Ryan in their first ever Super Bowl ad.
Starring The Office‘s and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’s John Krasinski the drama follows CIA analyst Jack Ryan as he heads out on his first field assignment. After uncovering a pattern in terrorist communication, Ryan is launched “into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
Filled with intensity and patriotism, the trailer is set to a cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” from Devlin and Ed Sheeran, and audio from Presidents John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, and more.
Amazon’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan will debut on August 31st.
