Earlier today, Electronic Arts announced that their upcoming free-to-play real-time strategy mobile game Command & Conquer: Rivals will launch worldwide on December 4th for Android and iOS. The reveal trailer from EA Play 2018 is included above while a brief description of the title is included below.
In Command & Conquer: Rivals, a real-time player versus player game, players lead their faction to victory in the war for Tiberium. True to RTS classics, preparation and planning are pivotal to matches along with tactical execution. The fast-paced, RTS action game will become the next official EA competitive gaming franchise to roll out a complete competitive program, including community tournaments and a championship pro scene.
Command & Conquer: Rivals was developed by EA Redwood Studios. Fans of the series have expressed anger over Rivals being a mobile game instead of a traditional real-time strategy game. EA has still encouraged players to try the game out. Since this is a free-to-play title, some may be more willing to try it out. Stay tuned for our impressions on the game once it debuts in December.
