Recently, Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions announced that their 2017 released FPS LawBreakers would cease development. This didn’t come as too much of a shocker based on how underwhelming the game performed sales wise. What has come as a surprise however, is that Boss Key Productions has now revealed that they have a battle royale game coming out today called Radical Heights.
At the surface, the game resembles Fortnight with its colorful aesthetics and quirky looking gameplay. From the screenshots we’ve seen, it’s clear that this game will take place in more of an urban environment instead the forested maps seen in Fortnite. The game also has a strong 80s theme.
Radical Heights will release later today on Steam as a free-to-play early access title. Players will have the option to purchase a founders pack that will give them access to exclusive in-game content.
Radical Heights was described by the Boss Key Productions team as a passion project that they’re publishing early by themselves. But in a genre dominated by Fortnite and PUBG, is it a risk for them to release this now? Or will the game become the instant hit that they’ve been waiting for?
