Earlier today, Xbox Wire Editor Mike Nelson confirmed in an Xbox news blog post that zombie survival game State of Decay 2 will launch worldwide on May 22nd. This highly anticipated Xbox Play-Anywhere title is set to debut on Xbox One, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass approximately three weeks prior to E3 2018.
In addition to today’s news, it was also revealed that the Standard Edition of the game will retail for only $29.99 while the Ultimate Edition will cost $49.99 and will be available four days earlier for those who decided to preorder. Included below are two images of the official cover art for both editions.
With Sea of Thieves scheduled to launch on March 20th and State of Decay 2 expected a few months later, it’s evident that Microsoft is making an overall better effort at releasing more exclusive first party titles this year. Crackdown 3 is the next major Xbox exclusive title that we can expect to hear a release day for in the not too distant future.
Are any of you planning on picking up State of Decay 2 later this year? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming game and more in the comments section below.
