Black Girl Horror: An Interview with Countdown’s Tichina Arnold

Actress, comedian and singer; Tichina Arnold began her career as a child actor, appearing in supporting roles in Little Shop of Horrors in 1986. Since then she’s been a Hollywood darling with a consistent career spanning over thirty-years. But now, she’s about to start a new adventure starring in the upcoming Countdown; her first horror movie.

In Countdown, an ambitious, young nurse Quinn Harris (Elizabeth Lail of TV’s You) is pressured to download an app that claims to predict exactly when a person will die. As her friends and colleagues reveal the many decades left on their lives, including Dr. Sullivan (Peter Facinelli of the Twilight franchise), Quinn is shocked to see her clock will run out in only three days. Blending in horror, drama and her natural comedic instincts, Arnold plays straight-laced Nurse Amy who, unlike others isn’t too keen on apps about death.
