It was the premiere heard around the wrestling world on October 5th at 8pm EST. This was unlike any other day in wrestling, it was the day when All Elite Wrestling positioned itself as an alternative to the professional wrestling establishment, and that includes creating the best women’s division.
At this year’s New York Comic Con, Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes and wrestler/actress Awesome Kong sat down to talk about their historic debut, the future of the company and if they see themselves as competition.
“You never want to rush into things because you put unnecessary pressure on competitors that don’t need to be there. If we gave it to you all on night one, what would you have to work toward and look forward to? It’s important to build.”
