Earlier tonight during the Final Fantasy VII – A Symphonic Reunion concert, Square Enix released a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake with a confirmed release date of March 3rd, 2020. The brief trailer is embedded above with a few additional details on the upcoming action RPG included below.
Final Fantasy VII Remake retells the story of the original game centered around lead protagonist Cloud Strife. Built entirely with Unreal Engine 4, this highly anticipated remake was originally announced during the PlayStation E3 2015 press conference and is expected to be an episodic game. Square Enix is set to reveal more details on this game and more tomorrow night during their live stream event at 6 pm PST.
Considering that we saw some new gameplay recently during last month’s State of Play stream, the news regarding a release date seems like it was forthcoming. Both new and longtime fans of the series will no doubt be happy that this game finally has a release date and 2020 is already looking like it will be another memorable year for video games.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on PlayStation 4. Are any of you looking forward to the upcoming game? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
