When it comes to setting up the best possible gaming experience, there are a few must-haves that instantly come to mind. A current-gen console or high-end gaming PC, A large 4K TV with HDR and an immersive audio system. However, people tend to forget the most important part of this setup which is having a comfortable ergonomic chair. Like many, I use to do the majority of my console gaming in the living room sitting on a sofa.
As I got older, I realized this was not an ideal setup for long gaming sessions and purchased a high-end ergonomic chair. Over the past 10 years, I’ve owned a handful of high-end gaming/office chairs which all eventually fell apart fairly quickly. So when EWin reached out asking if I would be interested in reviewing their latest Champion series Ergonomic computer gaming office chair I gladly accepted. So let’s begin with the chair’s specifications.

As you can see from the specifications, the EWin champion series chair does not fall short in the quality department. There are a few key features worth mentioning that set this chair apart from others in the market. The stain-resistant 2.0 PU (polyurethane) leather is an artificial leather made of thermoplastic polymer. This material does not absorb water and can easily be maintained with a clean cloth. It also does an amazing job providing the look & feel of real leather. The high-density foam under the PU is firm which is what you would want from a gaming chair. There is a misconception that a softer chair would be best for long gaming sessions. However, the softer foam will lose its form quickly with long term usage.
With that said, you truly feel like you are sitting in a racing chair. The ergonomic design provides great back and hip support. The seat cushion is raised on both sides which provide a snug fit. This will prevent awkward position shifting which is a common occurrence in standard form cushions. Preventing this movement keeps your lower back properly aligned. The Champion series also includes an adjustable/removable lumbar pillow. The pillow is soft with a nice oval shape. This additional lower back support feels natural and reduces lower back pain.
Another standout feature for me is the 4D armrest. As mentioned in the opening, my chairs tend to fall apart quickly. In most cases, it was the armrest cushion shell cracking or completely ripping off. The cushion in these armrests is extremely firm with a nice curved shell. The armrest can slide front, back, up, down, in and out with easily accessible buttons. This is a key feature in keeping your back aligned and centered in the chair. If you are like me, I tend to lean left or right on the armrest (elbow point down in the cushion). This lean would cause me to shift my hips to bet into a comfortable position. The ability to slide the armrest inward completely removed that hip shift.
The backrest portion of the chair is tall and like the seat cushion offers raised left & right sides. You will feel completely engulfed and one with the chair. The second adjustable/removable pillow is located toward the top of the backrest. This pillow is smaller and softer than the lumbar pillow which makes it extremely comfortable when resting my head. When gaming or working, I would adjust the pillow to my neck area which added a level of comfort never before experienced in a chair. However, the most notable feature is the ability to recline 155 degrees. The lever to perform this recline is located on the right side of the seat and has a distinct grip handle. The locking mechanism associated with the handle allows for multiple angles. This feature is one that I never knew I wanted and now could never imagine living without.
The EWin Champion Series Ergonomic Computer Gaming Office Chair with pillows is not a generic chair with some low-end gimmicks. The chair does an amazing job combining functionality and style. It’s also worth noting that every part of this chair is covered with a multi-year warranty. This alone is a telling sign that EWin has the utmost confidence in the chairs they manufacture. If you are a gamer or spend a large amount of time sitting at a desk, then I highly recommend purchasing this chair. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be one purchase you won’t regret. Below are a few additional images of the chair.
