The first live-action adaptation of Tom Wheeler’s and Frank Miller’s Cursed is going to hit Netflix in little less than a month. Now, the streaming service has released the series’ first official trailer.
From Frank Miller and Thomas Wheeler, Cursed is a reimagining of the Arthurian legend told from the perspective of Nimue (Katherine Langford).
According to the Arthurian legends, Excalibur chooses someone worthy to save the people when the danger arises. It seems that Excalibur has chosen a queen this time as the upcoming 10-episode show is going to be about the King Arthur legend from Nimue’s point of view, the future Lady of the Lake.
The trailer features a closer look at the cast, especially at Katherine Langford’s Nimue and Devon Terrell’s Arthur. They will join forces to fight against king Uther Pendragon and the villainous Red Paladins led by Peter Mullan’s Father Carden. Gustaf Skarsgård is playing the eccentric Merlin. The story will also feature some of the fabled Round Table members, with Matt Stokoe portraying Sir Gawain.
All episodes of Cursed will be available on Netflix starting July 17.
