On March 31st, Paramount Pictures’ Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is finally coming to theaters. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game franchise Parmount Pictures has unveiled a fun clip from the movie that shows characters played by Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis unearthing a corpse so they can revive it just long enough to ask it five questions.
As seen in the trailer above, Simon (Justice Smith) awakens a corpse for the group to ask it only five questions after that, the corpse shall never be revived again. Things proceed to go hilarious wrong with conversations are mistaken for questions.
Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley from a script they wrote with Michael Gilio, the movie follows a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers as they embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic. Things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.
Regé-Jean Page, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, Hugh Grant, and Jason Wong also star.
It is produced by Jeremy Latcham, Brian Goldner, and Nick Meyer, with Goldstein, Daley, and Pine serving as executive producers alongside Denis L. Stewart, Zev Foreman, and Greg Mooradian.
For the record this movie isn’t connected to the 2000 Dungeons & Dragons movie that spawned a several sequels (2005’s Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God and 2012’s Dungeons & Dragons 3: The Book of Vile Darkness).
Nor is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves connected to the Dungeons & Dragons project in the works at Paramount which will run on the Paramount+ streaming service for eight episodes. Red Notice writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber has written the script for the pilot episode, which he will also be directing.
