NBA 2K24 Goes Crossplay, Launches On September 10th

Earlier this morning, 2K announced that NBA 2K24 will be crossplay on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles when it launches on September 10th. This news comes alongside yesterday’s reveal that Kobe Bryant will be the official male cover athlete for the upcoming game. The WNBA edition of the game will feature New York Liberty Guard Sabrina Ionescu. Included below are more details on the game courtesy of a press release by 2K.

NBA 2K24 brings a series of new advancements and modes including:

  • We’re excited to announce that this year, NBA 2K24 will launch with crossplay for PS5 and Xbox X|S. 
  • In honor of Kobe returning to the NBA 2K cover, players can celebrate his legacy and channel their inner-Mamba mentality in the brand-new Mamba Moments mode. Recreate some of Kobe’s most captivating performances and progress through his transcendent journey from a young phenom to one of the greatest players of all time.
  • NBA 2K24 will introduce ProPLAY, a groundbreaking new technology that directly translates NBA footage into gameplay and delivers animations and movements via on-court NBA action for a generational leap in authenticity on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. NBA 2K24 will offer three editions of the game in various digital and physical formats: a Kobe Bryant Edition, a legendary Black Mamba Edition, and an all-new, exclusive 25th Anniversary Edition, which includes a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass**.
