Nintendo PC PlayStation Previews Summer Game Fest Xbox

Megabit’s Upcoming Games Lineup Is Poised To Make Waves In The Industry (Preview)

During Summer Game Fest Play Days, I was fortunate enough to see several exciting video games set to release later this year and in 2026. On the show’s final day, I met with Megabit and saw four upcoming titles poised to make waves in the industry once they launch. Here are more details on those games and why you should keep them on your radar.

OMUT
Developer: Madame Cyclone
Platforms: PC

OMUT is an intense 2D action side-scroller set in an atmospheric fever dream filled with horrifying creatures and unsettling images. Developed by Madame Cyclone and inspired by Slavic folklore, OMUT debuted at PAX West last year before making an appearance at Summer Game Fest Play Days. I got a glimpse of this difficult but addictive title when I previewed it last month.

The SGF demo was largely the same one currently available on Steam. The recent build features minimal improvements to make the overall experience even better. Despite the punishing difficulty of the game, there is no doubt that the concept will keep you coming back for more. OMUT is coming to PC with a proper release date announcement expected later this year.

Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults
Developer: BKOM Studios
Platforms: PC

Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults is an upcoming co-op hack-and-slash ARPG based on a tabletop game and the Adventure Path book series of the same name. Players can switch between four characters with customizable level-up options and explore a world filled with dungeons and an evil sorceress sending her army against you.

I saw this game at GDC earlier this year and finally played it at SGF. The hack-and-slash combat was satisfying, and the game feels perfectly accessible for anyone interested in trying it out. There is currently no release date for the game, but a Steam wishlist option right now.

Lou’s Lagoon
Developer: Tiny Roar
Platforms: PC

Lou’s Lagoon is an upcoming cozy action-adventure being developed by Tiny Roar. The story revolves around you taking over a seaplane delivery service after your Uncle Lou has disappeared. Using a special vacuum for harvesting resources, players can explore the world, make deliveries, and discover Uncle Lou’s whereabouts.

Like OMUT, Lou’s Lagoon is a game that I was first introduced to at PAX West. I’m surprised to see how far the game has come, as the SGF demo featured more world exploration elements with plenty of characters to interact with. The cozy genre also perfectly suits the vibe, making it a welcoming experience for those who might be interested. This game can also be wishlisted, and a release window announcement seems imminent.

Thick As Thieves
Developer: Otherside Entertainment
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S

Thick As Thieves is an upcoming PvPvE multiplayer stealth game being developed by Otherside Entertainment. Set during the 1910s, players must compete against rival thieves as they steal their way to the top of a world filled with magic and secrets. This is an ambitious project that Warren Spector is creating to add more excitement to the stealth game genre.

This was arguably one of the most intriguing games from Megabit’s lineup and for very good reason. If you ever played Thief, you’ll understand the core concept in the same vein, but with a multiplayer twist that makes it feel unique. When you also add that magic is a part of this universe, the ideas seem endless for where this title can go. The game is set to launch in 2026 for consoles and PC.

This concludes my thoughts on a few key Megabit-published titles that are worth keeping an eye on. Are you planning on checking out any of these games? Let us know in the comments section below.
