In Maine, Reacher witnesses the attempted kidnapping of college student Richard Beck and intervenes. After accepting an offer from Beck’s father, Zachary, Reacher quickly finds himself in a world filled with dangerous criminals, rogue DEA agents, and a deadly foe from his past.
