Today, NetherRealm Studios released a brand new Mortal Kombat X trailer to show how Raiden will function in the next installment of their popular fighting game series.
The video embedded above gives a preview of all three of the character variations that players can choose from if they decide to use Raiden on the battlefield. These variations include Thunder God Raiden, Displacer Raiden, and Storm Lord Raiden. This popular character was originally revealed last month during EVO 2014.
In addition to this news, a Twitter account leaked images yesterday of how Kano will look in Mortal Kombat X. While NetherRealm hasn’t confirmed or denied the legitimacy of these images, they are expected to make an official character announcement next week during GamesCom 2014. In the meantime, please feel free to check out the embedded tweet and images below.

After writing an in-depth preview of Mortal Kombat back in June, I’m thoroughly excited by where Ed Boon is taking the series and I look forward to finding out more about all of the new fighters who will be joining the cast.
Mortal Kombat X launches on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 sometime next year.
