Welcome back to Knights of the Turntable after our long hiatus. We apologize for the delay but we had scheduling conflicts with cast members moving and working. We’re finally back on track now, and this week our main discussion revolves around our introductions to indie Hip Hop. Indie Hip Hop is a sacred thing, especially in a time where mainstream politics dictate how everyone views the Hip Hip art form. Indie Hip Hop provides a level of diversity often missing from what we see in the media. So it’s important for every Hip Hop lover to be exposed to indie Hip Hop. What was your introduction? Let us know.
Also discussed on this show:
– What did you think of Kendrick’s new single “I”?
– Sway, King Tech, Crooked I start “One Shot”, a reality competition “Strictly for Hip Hop”
– First Impressions: Kembe X “Scion AV EP”
– LL Cool J ft. Murda Mook, Raekwon “I’m Nice”. Discuss.
This week’s panel: CSJR (host), Richard Bailey Jr. Joe Hova, Matthew McDanel
