As we reported last summer, the critically acclaimed Journey is making its way to the PlayStation 4. At the time, no release date was given. Today, Sony officially announced that the game will be launched this summer. Along with this announcement, we got some more information about this edition of the title.
The most surprising reveal is that there would be a physical copy of the game. The Blu-ray will include not only Journey, but thatgamecompany‘s other releases, flOw and Flower. Better still, those who already own the game on PlayStation 3 will be able to download the digital version for free. Cross-buy is something the developers wanted and it’s good to see that they were able to implement it for those who already bought the game.
Being that this is a current-gen edition of the game, expect to see 1080p resolution along with 60 frames per second.
Stay tuned for an exact date on Journey on PlayStation 4.
