Say the name Stephen King and people will instantly shutter on the spot. The international best-selling writer has created novels, novellas and written scripts which have scared generations. From a murderous car to a killer dog, to creepy kids, a prison filled with injustices, a clown that just wants to snack every twenty-seven years; King has turned a quiet town in Maine into a damn nightmare.
Now that nightmare is about to get even creepier. During this year’s Super Bowl, the world was introduced to a teaser trailer for Hulu’s Castle Rock, which will “combine the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”
From Stephen King and Executive Producer J.J. Abrams, Castle Rock is an original psychological horror, that’ll feature titles of and characters from a number of Stephen King novels, including: It, Dolores Claiborne, Needful Things, Salem’s Lot, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, Dreamcatcher, Night Shift, The Green Mile, Misery, Hearts in Atlantis, The Shining, The Mangler, Four Past Midnight, Different Seasons, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, and The Night Flier.
The Koalition had an opportunity to interview cast members André Holland, Bill Skarsgård and Sissy Spacek from the upcoming TV series to find out what being returning to King’s twisted world.
