Hulu’s Castle Rock Trailer Introduces Us to Stephen King’s Twisted and Connected Universe

Hulu has revealed its Super Bowl trailer for Castle Rock, and it goes deep into Stephen King rabbit hole.

Only 40 seconds long, it is packed with Easter eggs for all of King’s fans.

From Stephen King and Executive Producer J.J. Abrams, Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

Moonlight’s André Holland plays attorney Henry Deaver, summoned to the town by a mysterious phone call made from the notorious Shawshank Prison — yes, that 1994’s The Shawshank Redemption.

One of the prison’s inmates, played by It’s Bill Skarsgard is involved in a mystery that’s involves the entire town, ushering in a plethora of events from previous King characters, including Cujo, Children of Corn, The Mist and Carrie (yes Ms. Sissy Spacek).

Castle Rock will debut on Hulu in the summer.
