Last week, we wrote an article on five games coming out this year that could be potentially ruined by multiplayer. Many gave feedback on the matter saying that multiplayer was an added incentive and thus our use of the word “ruined” was far too harsh a description for the practice.
Today both the Tomb Raider achievements and trophies leaked, revealing that multiplayer will indeed be required for gamers who want to platinum the game shortly after it hits stores in March. Below is a full rundown of all the achievements/trophies.

This seems hardly a surprise as it has been done time and time again for several other games. Square Enix went on record saying that Tomb Raider won’t feature a demo or season pass because they didn’t want to spoil the single player story experience.
While the multiplayer achievements won’t ruin the campaign, they will however force achievement junkies to experience a mode that they otherwise probably wouldn’t even be bothered to play. What do you think of this theory? Will you be trying out multiplayer mode? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
Tomb Raider is scheduled for release on March 5th, 2013 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
