This week seen the beginning of the end for Hip-Hop trio Naughty By Nature and therefore they take the spotlight for Throwback Thursday. Treach and Vin Rock have been firing shots at each other this week on twitter and Treach subsequently released a diss song titled “Tall Midget”. He then later claimed that Vin Rock “never wrote 1 hit” for the group.
We are taking a look back at 5 songs from various Naughty By Nature albums.
The first of the 5 songs is their best known song titled “O.P.P”. Released in 1991, “O.P.P” was the main single for their self-titled sophomore album.
Track number 2 in the play list is their close follow up to “O.P.P” in terms of successful singles with the track “Hip-Hop Hooray” released in 1993 on the third Naughty By Nature album “19 Naughty III”.
1991’s “Pin The Tail On The Donkey” from the album “Naughty By Nature” takes the 3rd track spot. This track actually appeared on the soundtrack for the classic “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2” video game.
“Jamboree” from their fifth album titled “Nineteen Naughty Nine: Nature’s Fury” is in 4th spot. Released in 1999, “Jamboree” also features R&B duo Zhane.
Last but not least – “Feel Me Flow” is track number 5 on our play list. Released in 1995 as a single for their fourth album “Poverty‘s Paradise” , “Feel Me Flow” brought Naughty By Nature some success in the charts. The song also featured in Eminem’s classic movie “8 Mile”.
