Earlier today, BBC Newsbeat released a 26-minute behind the scenes documentary on Kojima Productions during the final days of finishing up production for Death Stranding. The video embedded above showcases Hideo Kojima and his staff working around the clock to get the upcoming title within gold status and finish the launch trailer. Through the trailer, we get a glimpse of additional gameplay segments, a deeper look into how involved game development is, and some initial reactions from Newsbeat gaming reporter Steffan Powell after spending hands-on time with the game.
Death Stranding could be best described as an action game/strand game in which players are tasked with rebuilding the world after a voidout claims the lives of many. I reviewed the game last Friday and we are also currently running a giveaway for the game that ends later this week. As I mentioned in my review, if you have seen the gameplay footage then you already have a good idea of whether or not this is a game that you want to play. The informative documentary included above may also serve as an example of sharing more information to help you make an informed decision as to whether or not to buy the game.
Death Stranding launches on November 8th for PlayStation 4 and next Summer for PC. Are any of you planning on picking up the game? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming title, documentary and more in the comments section below.
