Though it is coming out on other consoles, it’s clear that the favored home of Destiny is on PlayStation. We’ve seen all ads for the game feature PlayStation consoles and at most of the recent gaming events (E3 especially) Destiny was featured heavily during Sony’s presentations.
Clearly, Sony wants people to think that this game is exclusive to their system when it technically isn’t. On that end, the game will feature a Sony-only exclusive map which will be on the PS3 and PS4 version of the game until the Fall of 2015.
The map is called “Exodus Blue” and has been optimized for 3-on-3 and 6-on-6 matches. It’s a mid-sized, infantry-focused competitive map. It will support five game modes: Skirmish, Control, Salvage, Clash, and Rumble. It will of course be designed with all three Guardian classes in mind.
Destiny will be released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9th.
