The Glitch is Back with Pac-Man 256 This Summer

In honor of Pac-Man’s 35th anniversary, Bandai Namco announced Pac-Man 256. This free-to-play game is based around an infamous glitch from the original arcade game.

In this newly released trailer, Hipster Whale, the studio that made the smash hit Crossy Road, is bringing back this lovely demonic curse because… why not?

For those who haven’t suffered through this glitch, if you played beyond level 255, the screen would glitch, causing half of it to fill with mangled text, making it damn-near impossible to complete the level and prematurely ending marathon gaming sessions without discrimination.

Pac-Man 256 will release for iOS this summer.
