After this week’s release of Pusha T‘s debut album, Clipse are this week’s selection for Throwback Thursday.
Clipse comprises of Pusha T and his brother No Malice and are heavily affiliated with producer Pharrell Williams.
We are going to look back on five Clipse tracks from their discography.
Track 1 is from 1999, titled “The Funeral“. This was a single for the unreleased Clipse album titled “Exclusive Audio Footage“. The album was produced by The Neptunes.
The second track is “Grindin’“, from Clipse’s 2002 debut album “Lord Willin’“. This track features guest appearances from N.O.R.E, Birdman and Lil Wayne.
Track 3 is “Quarterbackin’“. An E-40 single released in 2002, Clipse were the featured guest on the track. This song is from E-40’s 2002 album “Breakin’ News“.
The fourth track in our play list is “You Know My Style” from Clipse’s 2004 mixtape “We Got It 4 Cheap“, hosted by Clinton Sparks. They use Nas‘ “You Know My Style” instrumental for this track.
The final track from our selection is “Where You Been“. This song is from Clinton Sparks’ 2005 mixtape “Maybe You Been Brainwashed“.
